Ran into a guy earlier this morning in the elevator when I was on my way to see if I got anything good or important in the mail and we started a little small talk when he revealed he never votes. Ugh. People like this guy are part of the reason the orange fuckyfuck got in there. I was pissed.

Ughhh, my aunt is like that also. She used to get into arguments with my grandfather because he would tell her that it wasn't just her right but it was also a privilege to vote, one that her own grandparents didn't have in Russia and the Ukraine. She was halfway decided to go vote when we left work today though, said she realizes now that she has no right to complain about who's in office if she didn't vote

Our two temp (ex-pat) housemates didn't vote, which annoyed me as they were in the States recently enough to do early voting even if they couldn't get their absentee registration in time. (I submitted my overseas ballot weeks ago.) I may plan to stay in the UK, but I still have US citizenship and feel I should use that power for good.

This morning one of them commented "we got the House!" and I held my tongue that there was no "we" about it. *sigh*
