5/8/17 09:10Yesterday when I was making German chocolate cake, the icing would not thicken up. I wound up cooking it three times longer than the recipe said to. Nothing. Normally if this happens I just stick it in the fridge overnight and ice the cake shortly before I need it but this morning only the top part of the icing had solidified, the rest underneath was still really runny but I didn't have the time or the stuff to make a whole new batch of icing so I just put it on the cake. I've never seen that happen before. (Also I was supposed to divide both layers cross wise to make 4 but I didn't cut them evenly so the cake looks messy. It should still taste good though.)
