Watched every ep of the Young Ones yesterday thanks to good old Netflix, that show is so nuts! I have half a mind to write a Young Ones/House crossover fic just because Hugh was in one episode but I have no clue what to do with that idea.

If I remember right, wasn't Vivien training to be a doctor/surgeon? Then again, it's the young ones, there doesn't really need to be a logical reason for anything- it was part of the charm.

I was once playing a trivia game and made up a category called Guess the British Comedy Show and my description of the Young Ones was "a depressed passive-aggressive hippie, an obnoxious anarchist wannabe who writes lousy poems, a mad punk and a short con artist who talks to the camera too much" and someone answered "my family".
