Had a nice phone conversation with my dad yesterday. I miss House fandom so much I'm not only been binge watching eps on DVD but I've even been willing to read really badly written fanfic, not just the brilliant fanfic I used to read here all the time. I thought the fandom would continue even after the show ended like Star Trek but that doesn't appear to be happening. :(

It makes me so happy that you have a good dad.

The House fandom (or lack of it) is killing me. It's like the show never existed. I just don't get it. That's why I keep posting as much House stuff as I can. I will always love House. It changed my life.

I find a lot of it is Huddy crap that I can't stomach. I'm pretty much just reading Mum's stuff, and re-reading some of the old stories that all of us have written and that's good enough for me. My NaNo fic is House so I'll be posting that next month when it's finished. They can't stop our love!! :)

in addition to all the stuff you already know about House and Hugh fandom making me happy, it saved my life in another way. A few years back I had a scare from a lump in my breast and kind of heard House's voice in my head yelling at me to go get a mammogram so i did. Luckily for me it wasn't cancer.

Oh oh oh!!!! You might try fanfiction.net. It's a great little community and you can get great feedback on your stuff. You could post your existing work and future ones. I made a couple of friends in one of my fandoms there, and I'm not even a fan writer myself.

If the show had been allowed to die (I know we disagree on the optimal moment) before it could end up becoming a rotting corpse and a mere shadow of its original brilliance, I think it would have become a true cult hit with a Firefly-sized on-going fandom. Unfortunately it was a genuine success in its own time and ironically, that's what killed it.

as I said to srsly_yes, a line from one of my dirtier House fics showed up on WTF fanfic. I suppose I should be offended but I just think it's funny.
