I had so much fun at the Dickens fair yesterday! I played lots of fun games and danced and saw a lot of great shows and readings and ate way too much and hung out with my friends and had a terrific time. Later today I'm going to go do volunteer work at the concert for the East bay gay Men's chorus, and I am not going to let that fact that it's raining in buckets and I can't find my umbrella stop me anymore than it did yesterday (at least the fair proper was indoors).
Also, bizarrely, I saw Tommy Wiseau there of all people.

We do Dickens on the Strand in Galveston here. We go every year. Its so much fun. We like to dress up.

they used to do something similar on 6th Street in Austin the weekend after Thanksgiving but they stopped doing it.
