Had a weird experience yesterday. i was on my way home from the Safeway waiting for the bus when some random guy drove by and asked me if i wanted a ride. I didn't know him so I wasn't foolish enough to get in the car with him so he handed me a business card w/ his phone number and took off.

You should post the number so people can call him a pervert and tell him to stop trying to pick up woman in his car! What was the business or did it just have his number?

It was a local car dealership. It probably wasn't even his card, it was probably the card of some random car salesman who had no idea what was going on.

Haha okay, that's weird. Maybe he's a car salesman trying to drum up business?

He doesn't know that hehe. He sees a pretty woman at a bus stop, assumes she has no car and therefore might need one. So he offers her a ride, thinking he might get a date and/or some business. It's a win-win for him. So he thinks ;)

Just puttin that out there :)

I must be more innocent than most, because I might even have accepted a lift. I did hitchhike in the past when I missed the bus, I picked up hikers in the same situation, and friendly people have stopped and offered me help without me asking (twice for mounting snow chains on the car, and once for removing the snow).
Still, if you assumed there was something fishy you were probably right, but he might conceivably have been just a kind (if weird) person.
Plus, I like pyewacket more realistic interpretation.

That is fantastic. I never knew serial killers have business cards.

Well that's an interesting way to hit on someone. I wonder if he realizes how creepy that came off as? Are you thinking about calling random car guy? I always love when they qualify for nicknames that fast. Its usually never a good sign lol. Though, who knows he might be a really nice guy with poor people skills.

I'm not seriously considering calling him; he freaked me out.

Did the card say "I just met you and this is crazy..."?

no, it was just a car dealership business card. I even know where the car dealership is, it's not too far from where my apt. is.

I used to take rides from the old guys in Cadillacs in front of Safeway (Church and Market) ALL THE TIME! I miss those guys. I'm not sure if they all died or were run off the premises.

I've also gotten into non-cab cars that were Limo-esque and lived to tell the tale. It's amazing (and sometimes stupid) what a girl will do when she really needs to get somewhere.

I was getting too much of a creep vibe off of him. I have occasionally gotten in cars with people i didn't know but it was under VERY unusual circumstances.
