10/5/12 09:06I Want To Ride It All Night Long
Chapter 2
Wilson's eyes were sparkling and he practically bounced up and down in the car seat. "House, that had to be the most exhilarating thing I've ever done in my life!"
House chuckled. "Okay, you've gone hang gliding, what's on the list next?"
" I felt so free! It was amazing! Is that how it feels when you ride your motorcycle really fast?"
"Yeah, it pretty much does." House suddenly stepped on the brakes, stopping the car short. "Want to see how fast this baby can go?"
"Here? Now?"
"Why not? We're driving through some farm town in Indiana, it's the middle of the night, there's nobody else on this road, let's do it." He opened up the car door and got out, walking around and opening the passenger door for Wilson. "Come on, let's switch."
Wilson got in the driver's seat and House turned on the car stereo, playing this:

Wilson smiled. "That could make anyone want to move." He took off like a bat out of hell.
Many miles later, Wilson finally slowed down. His heart pumping and adrenalin rushing through him, he was breathing heavily and looking at House, grinning broadly.
"I can tell you enjoyed that." House grinned back. "Hey, we're getting closer to the Illinois border."
Wilson stopped the car completely on the side of the road. "My next request is not very daredevilly at all, and it's the first one you might say no to." He paused. "I still think of her as a friend, and I want to see Cameron."

2/6/12 21:29 (UTC)Hang gliding seems also a wonderful choice. Have you ever tried it? I do remember a fic where House did it, and almost dreamt of lettong go but did not.
And they're already close to Illinois? They went a long way. Hope that we'll get to see the actual Cameron instead of a hallucination. And I count on you to let us know that having a-husband-and-a-child isn't the only possible happiness for a woman.
I have mixed feelings about canon!Cameron, but Cameron the way you (and others) write it is a very different person. Looking forward to the next chapter!
(Ha, I'm reading them one a day. hope you don't mind, this way the fic last a bit longer).

3/6/12 15:01 (UTC)I don't know what it is about TV writers, so many of them seem to think no one can be happy unless they're married and have some kid. That way of living just isn't for everybody. It certainly wouldn't be for me.
I don't mind at all.
