I still think my House in prison story was better than canon. I'm still upset Hugh said he was going to quit doing TV after House goes off.

It doesn't surprise me. I'm sure he'll keep doing movies though, but I think TV did him in.

he seems to keep picking really shitty movies to be in though.

I dunno. I like it when he does voices in animated movies, and I hear Mr. Pip is supposed to be good. Don't talk to me about the Oranges because I'm pissed off I won't get to see it till winter. Grrrr.

If I didn't have Tyler, I'd probably hate kid's movies too hehe. I don't go see them very often but the CGI ones are pretty good now.

We should give him time. Eight years (or however many) of House must be quite stressful, and I can understandhe wanting a very long break. Plus, he's now interested in music.
As for movies, he may not have such a pic for roles, and I understanding voicing cartoons is quite rewarding for good actors. (I don't like kids movie anymore than you do, btw. Luckily Hous-y is now watching a German TV adaptation of War and Peace).

if he does more albums i will definitely want to buy them.
If he did more animated movies that clearly WEREN'T just for little kids (like Waking Life or Yellow Submarine or Roger Rabbit or something) I wouldn't mind so much. Except I wouldn't get to see him and he's so gorgeous.

He looks gorgeous, but he sounds gorgeous too. Think of all my poor compatriots who watch House (and everything else) dubbed; we're both so lucky, me especially since I got to learn enough English.
I do worry that Hugh doesn't get offered movie roles good enough for him. You and I (and many others) think he's attractive, but I doubt he meets Hollywood standards.

there are a lot of different kinds of movie genres he'd be good at. everything from serious history dramas (I wished he'd been in the King's Speech) to porn.
