I had a really goony dream last night. it started out awesome, I was at this great Xmas party (unusual in itself because I normally only have dreams having anything to do with Xmas when it's nowhere near Xmas) and Taub of all people showed up and started whining at me about why no House fans like him and he doesn't get to be in any fics. he even went, "You put Foreman in some of your fics and no one puts him in fics. Do you hate me?" and I said "Well if I gave you any thought I might." I actually stole that line from Casablanca but i sure wasn't going to share that information with him. and he was all "you do hate me!" and i went, "no, i hate 13, you're too boring to bother hating"

Oh obsessions how deep they run! And even though I don't watch anymore Taub was very boring no matter how complicated Shore tried to make his character. It just made it seem like they were trying way to hard to make us like him.

13 is a whole different story for me anyway. They were trying so hard to not making her the Mary Sue, Cameron, and no one was buying it.

I feel kind of sorry for Peter Jacobsen because I think he's not a bad actor but being so non-compliant with current esthetic standards he only gets minor roles and has to accept even crappy ones. Of course if he were female he wouldn't get any roles at all.

I didn't dislike Taub's character at first (I really liked his breast surgery idea, and the idea that his own life was a failed promise of greatness) but then they screwed it up beyond recognition, giving it a large role with no non-crappy content at all.

Thirteen, don't even get me started. Could have been a much needed GLBT character, was turned into "lesbian" porn for straight men with a boney chest fetish.

You reminded me that I had a dream about Taub a few months ago--before this season. We were at a dance and the guy was actually kind of charming.

Last night I had a dream about Tom Selleck (looking a bit prettier than he does now). Years before (in the dream) we were lovers and were considering getting back together. :P

Your unconscious speaks for the entire fandom, although with 13 off the canvas, Taub is right up (or down) there with Ianto Jones on my least of characters whose existence I want completely eradicated.
