Haven't been awake very long, feeling very out of it.
I had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with several of my awesome friends, made a few new friends too.
What i thought was a stupid rumor from some Brit tabloid seems to turn out to be true, apparently Hugh is going to quit acting on TV once House goes off. WHAT THE FUCK?! WHY?! EVEN THE FAMOUS PEOPLE I LOVE WALK AWAY!

WHAT???? About Hugh quitting... I haven't heard that... what is going on?

Here I was hoping for him and Stephen to team up again and give us something worthwhile to watch :(

a bunch of news feeds are talking about it. he just wants to write and direct now. :( I know it's not like he's dying or something but it sucks i won't see his handsome face anymore. D:

I would love to read some more of his writing. I loved The Gun Seller, but yeah, I'll miss seeing him on tv.

I've never even read the Gun Seller, i must be the only Hugh fan who hasn't. I've never been able to find a copy of it, and i live in a place with lots of bookstores and libraries.

I believe you're unhappy, but I sort of get him. It must have been hard, eight years on the wrong side of the world, away from family and friends - how much did he miss already of his kids' adolescence? And he doesn't need money, so he can just have fun working a little bit, maybe making more music. I imagine he would still have an occasional something on British TV (not speaking US-ish will be a relief as well).

I can appreciate that HL feels he can't top the success he had on House, but his statement doesn't rule out acting in big screen productions. ;-)

this is true, but i hope he picks better movies to be in. I don't do kids movies and the oranges sounds awful, although Mr. Pip sounds good.

I knew this day would come so it doesn't surprise me. Although we won't see him on TV, I'm hoping he'll do more movies, make more albums and whatever else makes him happy.
A long time ago I read some article and thought that it wouldn't shock me if he just up and said "You know what? I'm done with acting all together. No more." I think that day has finally come. Although he might not do any more TV series, I can see him popping up here and there on various shows as a guest star or even director. I could get down with that.

I love him but he seems to not pick good movies to be in lately. If he makes more albums i will definitely buy them.

I guess he can't be lucky in everything he chooses. I am looking forward to the Oranges because it looks like a fun movie, and I'll definitely check out Mr. Pip. I like that he does voices in kids movies cuz then I can drag Tyler to them :)

And yeah, I'll definitely buy any other albums he makes or books he writes. I'm hopelessly devoted to the man. ;)

Mr. pip looks good. I don't watch kids movies and the oranges makes me very uncomfortable.
He does write well (he and Stephen wrote all the sketches on ABOFAL) and if i find any books he wrote in any bookstores I will definitely buy them.

I wonder when Mr. Pip will be released on DVD or when it'll be in theatres. I'd definitely go see it. Hell, I'll go see anything he's in :)
