I've gotten almost all the Thanksgiving shopping done except for the shrimp, which I'm going to pick up later today. Trader Joe wasn't too bad but Safeway and the little local grocery store were CRAZY.
I had to go to the store last night because there was a threat of a storm today (there is about three, maybe four inches of snow down already and it is still snowing... rumor has it there will be up to eight) and the store was crazy. By the looks of carts, it was mostly folks prepping for turkey day though.
I live in a part of Calif. where it never snows, it was all folks prepping for turkey day. There was one little kid in trader Joe running around going berserk practically asking to get in an accident though.
awww, sweetie! I am so sorry that happened. hugs you (I read that and look at your icon and think of House and Wilson going, "Oh shit, we'd better go help Laura!") One of my friends is doing turkey at his house but it's not that traditional because he's doing a tandoori turkey. I'm bringing over a homemade curry side dish and a couple of bottles of wine and I picked out some cheeses and crackers and a couple of pies (store bought apple and homemade pumpkin).
