I honestly don't want to offend a lot of my friends who totally love him but I do not get the cult following Neil Patrick Harris has, i really don't. there are some celebrities I am not a fan of but i understand why they're popular. With him i don't fucking get it at all. I thought he was kind of funny in Harold and Kumar but that's it. I've seen one or two epies of HIMYM and i was not impressed with the show at all. I don't think he's funny in anything else, I don't think he's good looking, I don't think he has any charisma and there's lots of other gay actors who I find a zillion times cooler (Stephen Fry, George Takei, John Mahoney, Ian McKellan, etc, etc,)

I agree he's not all that funny, although I do think he's kinda cute. IDK, I certainly don't hate him, but I'm not a raging fan either. I guess I kinda DGAF either way.

Of course you're entitled to your opinion, but I'm extremely fond of NPH. I was never a big Doogie Howser fan, but I adored him in a little known sitcom he was in with with Tony Shalhoub, "Stark Raving Mad". He is the reason I watch HIMYM.

I'm not gaga over him, but I admire that he was able to break out of the child star mold. By his singing and dancing, he clearly has talent and takes his craft seriously. He hosted the Tony awards and did a phenomenal job breathing life into the show. I did a post about it back in June that contains vids of him.

I don't get it, either. I don't think he's brilliant or anything. He was a good child actor as Doogie Howser, but I don't understand how he isn't lumped in with the other old actors on VH1 reality shows. I guess he actually does things, though, unlike those other guys.

I never really watched Doug Howser. I don't always watch 'How I met your mother' (when I do watch, its because of Allyson Hannigan!)

but this? THIS is the reason I even watched NPH guest stunting on Glee. He can SING (and yes, I did watch the musical ep of HIMYM)

there were rumors a while back that if they did remake RHPS, NPH would be the new Frankfurter.
