It looks like I'm going to be getting to hear Hugh play LIVE, not just on CD! he is apparently going to be at a FREE music festival in Golden Gate park on 10/1 (I get paid on 9/30) so you KNOW I'm gonna be there. I gotta buy a lawn chair because my back can't take sitting on the ground for too long, I'm going to bring a backpack full of goodies because food they sell at festivals is always pricey, I'm going to bring something for him to autograph in case he does a meet and greet, I've got the bus route all googled! I just hope I don't act like an idiot if I do get to meet him.
The only thing that could possibly be cooler is if I ran into him and Stephen either before or after the show while they were having lunch in SF or something.

I'm so incredibly happy for you. And so good that you get paid in time to buy a lawn chair, you definitely should take care of your back.
And a free concert... how cool is that? If you happen to meet him, whether while asking for an autograph or just somewhere in SF, I'm sure you will have no problem. You're used to going up to famous people and be so nice that they smile at you and talk to you, I've seen you do it so you can't deny. Yes, I know, he's Hugh... so you'll be even sweeter and more loveable, no problem there.

this is true but i do not have a giant wet panties crush on Bill Maher like i do on Hugh so the circumstances are entirely different.

Seriously, I'm sure he's used to people (I can't believe only women, LOL) being awed by how sexy he is. The big difference between you and me is that I have never in my life spoken to a famous person anywhere. I have even big problems speaking with famous mathematicians, even though of course none of them is famous the way an actor or a singer is, so in this sense you're way ahead of me.
If, on the other hand, you wanted to point out that what you feel for Hugh is different from what you feel for Bill Maher, I can only say that it seems extremely reasonable to me ;).

Dude that's awesome! I hope you do get to meet him. I know the time Dave touched my hand and smiled at me my knees buckled lol. Though, it has been my past experience that lawn chairs are a waste of money b/c you spend the majority of the time standing. Most places won't allow you to bring your own chairs & if I remember correctly Golden gate wouldn't let us for DMB. Though, it might be different for this show.

I always used to bring my old lawn chair for free comedy day in GG park and nobody said boo about it. The concerts last for eight hours, no way am I standing for eight hours.

That's good then maybe they are different for free shows. You for sure have to take care of your back. I know after my shows I feel like I have been running a marathon and I don't have issues with mine.
