Yay! they did not pick me yesterday! and now my apt. is nice and clean too! Plus the Peet's down the street from me (which is my usual local cafe hangout) FINALLY finished their damn remodeling so I could have a cup of Darjeeling and take my friend for a white chocolate mocha! :)

All's well that ends well... and having the apartment extra-super-clean for once isn't bad at all. And yay for Peet's opening again, I feel lucky that I managed to go there at least once so that no I can imagine you sitting there and enjoying your drink (and hopefully something solid to go with it, the pastry I tried was very tasty).

they had opened up very recently so they didn't have very pastries yesterday but I had a good drink and good company, plus the relief of not being hassled and finally getting outside after being cooped up like a dog in a kennel all day.



BTW, I've been thinking more and more about your offer to have me come visit you in Europe and I really want to do it if you're still interested.

I'm certainly interested, I just have to figure out when. The main difficulty is that I want to find a time when I can take a few days off, not so much fun for you if I just abandon you while I look after my kids.
I can certainly do it when I work in my usual job in Italy, what happens this year (i.e., until End august 2012) is somewhat more complicated and I still haven't completely figured it out. I haven't yet signed my contract and when I do it will be in German ;).

It still amazes me that you live in a building where someone can come in and boot you out because your apartment doesn't meet some random criteria of cleanliness.
