Incarceration
Chapter 5
House's eyes opened even wider than usual. "Have I completely lost my shit or am I seeing two Wilsons??"
Danny Wilson muttered, "oh, he was bothering me because he thought I was James," quietly under his breath.
James Wilson, on the visitors' side of the glass, smiled slightly and said, "Well, as a matter of fact, House, you ARE seeing two Wilsons. If you had stuck around to meet Danny that one time, you would have found out he looks just like me. People think we're twins."
"No damn kidding, you even both have that fucking lazy eye." House didn't know whether to be frustrated or relieved that at least his friend wasn't in prison and had not rejected him. He thought, "Okay, that does it. The second I get out of here and Wilson and I have any privacy, I'm going to tell him I love him."
Chase said, "Nobody's seen you around the hospital lately, Wilson, what's going on?"
Wilson looked a little embarrassed. "I'm sorry, I probably should have told you." He indicated a middle aged, professional looking African-American lady standing slightly behind him. "This is Elizabeth Grant."
"Good afternoon, gentlemen." She shook hands with Foreman and Chase.
"She's a lawyer and she's working with me to get Danny transferred out of prison and into a mental hospital, which is where he should be, because he's schizophrenic. We're also going to see if we can get you out of here, House, or at least get your time shortened."
"Please," House said softly.
Wilson looked at House with sympathy and affection. "In the meantime, I'm going to come and visit you every chance I can get."
