as much of a train wreck as House's 7th season was, I'm kind of surprised they don't seem to be airing any reruns of it this summer at all.

They moved the re-runs to Friday nights at 9:00 EST.

They showed Small Sacrifices on Friday. So, I don't think so. I don't remember much of S7, to be honest.

It is about to start if it hasn't already... I saw an advert for it while watching Master Chef last night.

I'd take more blues albums from Hugh and I wasn't all that impressed with the first one, over more seasons of House to be honest. They have totally ruined the show.

You're right. Still, I'd rather see him than listen to him (or listen to him speaking than singing - I don't do music).

I'd love for him get another show, at this point, anything would be better than what House has become :(

I think once he's done with that he'll go back to London and the BBC. And RSL will go back to his theatre career.
Actually, I should get the habit of watching BBC. So much better than what I can get in Italy.

Since there's no BBC Italy, I'll just have to get to see BBC UK which is actually quite nice. Public German TV is also not bad at all.
Italian TV, on the other hand... (weeps).

Damigella, have you heard the audio book "Three Men in a Boat" which he narrarates? It's really quite good. ;}
I wish I could afford my own copy of it. It's hilarious.

HL narrating Three Men In A Boat? Swoon. It is a bit expensive I must admit (20 Euros) but still, I'll give it a thought. In the meantime I'll keep watching A Bit of Fry and Laurie (the Complete Series in Region 2 DVD is _less_ than the audiobook).

But thanks for the heads up! [I did splurge for the first Harry Potter narrated by Stephen Fry, and I would like to buy them all eventually].

I've never even heard of it. Hugh should do audiobooks of the Jeeves and Bertie books. He'd be great!

Yes, he would be good at them. It helps that he's acted the part already, so narrarating them would be a cinch.

i still watch because of Hugh but he's really the only reason i watch now. The show is not what it once was and they don't give Wilson enough to do. there's no other current show I like though.

Yeah, I am sure I will still be watching. It'll be interesting how they deal with the events in the season finale. I am sure it is going to be stupid and foolish, but I'll still watch.

I hadn't found anything that grabbed my attention the way House and the characters on House did. I enjoy Fringe and Castle and on the BBCA side there is Primeval and Outcasts (unfortunately I heard Outcasts was cancelled). Then A Game of Thrones arrived!!!! I love the show, love the characters and despite the fantasy-ish medieval-ish setting, the characters are just as well done as those on House, honestly, even better.

Of course I was this invested in the characters since I picked up the book series back in 1998, so I don't quite count that as a new fandom to replace House. Especially since I knew what was going to happen in the first season, I know what will happen in the second season, and the third and the fourth and will soon know what will happen in the fifth season as soon as the new book comes out next week (each season incorporates one book of the season).

Terra Nova looks good, but I am not going to get my hopes up- FOX has a way of cancelling great shows before they get going and utterly ruining great shows that last.

They have ruined the show. The first three seasons were really good and then, wth happened? Do writers just suddenly lose their ability to keep to the cannon of their own writing or what? I quit watching in season five cuz it started getting too over the top for me, at that point. I saw a trend coming on...

usually when a show drops in quality like that it's because of different writers. It's the same writers so I don't know, maybe they got lazy?

I think they got lazy. Basing that opinion on an interview I saw online of what direction they're heading and they couldn't say anything definite. The writers whole tone was like he hadn't given it much thought yet: flying by the seat of their britches kind of thing. If he doesn't care why should I? And why is HL still doing the show if that's the attitude: his contract, maybe?

Our Fox station (Buffalo) is showing back-to-back House eps Monday nights, and have been for awhile. Pretty much from the first Monday after the finale they started showing 2 hours of House, one ep at 8 p.m. and then another at 9 p.m. all from S7.

We don't get a Friday night showing, Fringe is on then, so I guess it depends on where you live. Out of the Chute played here a week ago. Since they're playing two a night, they're ripping through the eps.

The end of Season 7 was really bad, but I'm afraid I won't be able to stop watching, if only to see how they can possibly pull House out of the jam he's in. So, morbid curiosity more than anything.
