Got a little extra $$ early (payday's tomorrow) so I went out and bought a lot of meat and vegies and stuff to make dinner tonight.

So what did you cook? And did the music you were listening to inspire your ingredients list? My husband ends up never cooking anything spicy because the kids won't eat it, but I miss red hot chili peppers. Funny what one ends missing of the kid-free days.

actually I made goulash, which isn't very hot but has a lot of paprika and some garlic in it.
even as a little kid I liked spicy food. I was eating chili and Mexican food when i was two.

I love goulash! It's very popular where I live - and I think all over the former Austro-Hungarian Empire.
You must have been a lovely child :-).

well, aren't you sweet to say that!
I remember you said you live in Trieste. What part of Italy is that in?

It's on the seaside border with former Yugoslavia, now Slovenia. Used to be an important harbor before WWI. Other claim to fame is Joyce supposedly wrote (part of) Ulysses here. Very small with a mostly elderly population. Great place to get bored to death in raise children in.
