I love how smart he is. Smart guys have always turned me on.
I find his jokes extremely funny. I'm surprised how many people don't. Only Wilson and sometimes Chase seem to laugh at them with any frequency. (Of course if he were making fun of me it would depend on where he went with it, some things about myself I don't mind being mocked but I do have some sore spots.)
I love his not taking bullshit off of people.
He fascinates me.
He's as big of a music geek as I am.
I think deep down under all the nastiness he is basically a decent person.
this is going to sound very goofy but I get the feeling we would like a lot of the same movies.
I am by nature a very empathetic person. Sometimes he seems like all he needs is someone to treat him kindly and listen to him.
He seems to have a terrific appetite for both food and sex. I like guys with a strong sensual side.
once you can get him out of his shell he's probably a great conversationalist.
Also, this is going to sound very shallow but he is absolutely gorgeous.

I'd like to see him be happy more often.

somebody going out on the roof and catching him asleep sunbathing naked while playing "Personal Jesus" by Depeche Mode on his boom box. Later in the same eppie, CGI "Fantastic Voyage" sequence like they have on the show depicting various body functions. this one is depicting a male orgasm while the Johnny Cash version of PJ is playing in the background. Pull back to reveal House doing an "O" face.

I loved, loved what you said about House. Every single line. I feel like quoting each one and swooning over it. I'll be strong and resist and just say that I think he would enjoy your company, in every sense.

I actually think she and Chase had a better relationship as friends than as a couple.

I don't know how "unpopular" this is, but I think she should never have asked House "do you like me?". You just don't ask a guy like him that question.
* One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
I didn't want her to leave but if she had to leave I would have liked it if she had joined Doctors Without Borders or some organization of that sort and remained on the show in the context of letters she exchanged with some of the other characters. I could especially see Wilson writing her back while she gives babies inoculations in some third world country, and she's enough of an idealist to choose that path.

Jeeves, of course! (in the very first epie, Aunt Agatha says, "You need someone strong, self-reliant, and sensible." he's already got somebody like that, and his name is Jeeves!)

not sure. Bertie could use at least one friend who isn't even dumber than he is, and isn't always up to some wild scheme!

If he were transported to the present day like he was in my Dr. Who crossover fic I think he'd actually be able to get a job in a piano bar (at least the HL version of him would), he certainly plays well enough and he's very good at giving off an aura of bonhomie.

Sometimes I think he's a shitty friend to House, and other times I think he's the best friend House could have. depends on the epie. No matter what, I hope he does not leave the show.

I'm sorry he and Cameron didn't really work out as a couple but I've never written any fic pairing him off with anyone else unless you count the reference to his ex girlfriend from when he was in high school in "It's time You Got a Life".

Date: 2011-04-24 05:38 pm (UTC)I love the Sherlock Holmes stories, actually, I have a big chunky book of all the original Holmes short stories and novels and a bunch of other books written by other writers besides Doyle that go different places with the characters (published fanfic, esentially). i liked the Robert Downey Sherlock movie but my fave is Jeremy Brett.

I don't generally have romantic ships in Lewis Carroll at all.

he seems to suck up to people in authority a lot. I get the image of him being something of a tale-bearer to the Queen of Hearts.

if i were making an Alice movie I would have him played by Paul Reubens. I like some Alice movies better than others but no Alice movie I've ever seen has done the books justice IMHO.
