Yes, my disability doesn't even cover my medicine costs. The amount I got would keep me in Starbucks for three days, and that's it.

I remember that when I first applied, I was asked if I wanted to apply for SSI to bring it up to the minimum. Like an idiot, I said no (I didn't think I'd be on disability for more than a year or two). By the time I thought of re-applying, I'd gotten a small amount of money from the sale of our family beach house and put it into an IRA. Damn.
