Apr. 7th, 2011 07:24 amHad an interesting day yesterday, among other things I went and hung out at a couple of second hand bookstores reading about animation, a subject I've always been interested in, especially the more arty stuff that's not intended for kids. There was a book about the making of my favorite animated movie of all time, Yellow Submarine, which I would have bought but they wanted a lot of money for it. There was also a rather extensive book on Looney Tunes shorts, which i mostly loved. does anyone remember this one cartoon where Porky Pig and Sylvester are on vacation and they stop off at this house that is completely overrun by these evil mice who keep trying to kill them and Porky is totally oblivious to this and Sylvester winds up smacking Porky in the head with a frying pan and driving away and the evil mice are hiding in the car? That cartoon scared the SHIT out of me when I was a little kid.
