Day 4 - Sloth. Seven things you neglect to do.

1. go on a diet. I know I'm overweight but I've had very bad luck with diets every time I've gone on one. Anyway, I'm actually quite healthy for an overweight person, I don't have high blood pressure or any tendencies toward diabetes and my heart is in good shape (I eat very little salt).
2. watch certain TV shows my friends are into that they recommend to me. I only saw 30 Rock for the first time a couple of days ago. I didn't think it was funny.
3. Finish reading Moby Dick.
4. Find my copy of the Zagat restaurant guide. it's buried somewhere in my apt, and I don't have clue one where it is.
5. Finish writing my House/Blackadder crossover fic. There needs to be some scene that amounts to a big snark-off battle between House and Blackadder, Baldrick hasn't even shown up yet, and since most Blackadder epies revolve around him scheming and trying to get something he wants and (usually) not getting it, I had him scheming to get into Cuddy's pants. I never finished the flipping thing because everything I thought of that I didn't post did not really do it justice. Maybe Ben Elton could have finished it.
6. throw out some stuff I haven't used in ages.
7. organize this LJ into tags.

I love 30 Rock. Some episodes are scathingly funny, but others are just all over the place. I'm not sure if character backstory doesn't change how to view it either. At this point, part of the fun is anticipating how characters will react in a given situation, like Kenneth or the staff writers.

I really enjoy 30 Rock, but by now I think you have to be familiar with the characters, etc. to get a real kick out of it. We don't watch it that often but I enjoy it when I do.

Tina Fey has a beach place near my brother's on Fire Island. Apparently in real life she's a small writer nerd, very unfriendly.

that's kind of a drag. I love when celebrities are friendly, most of the ones I've met were but some were just jerks.

I agree with you on 30 Rock - I have deduced (after persevering for about half a season) that each episode has at least one really funny moment/line, but the rest of it is a bit 'hmm...okaaay...?'
Also, God, number 1 for me - although I'm the opposite to you, I'm pretty skinny but sososo unhealthy and unfit and bleugh. I need to change my diet somewhat. We could do it together :D

if you're skinny but not healthy maybe exercise would help?
