feeling very relaxed right now. Part 2 of my meme, here's 20 comedy icons I like. This list is a smidge Brit-dominated, but I'm not British, I'm American, I just love British comedy.
1. Mel Brooks
2. A Bit Of Fry and Laurie (well, duuuuuuh!)
3. Buster Keaton
4. Monty Python
5. Fawlty Towers
6. Blackadder
7. the Young Ones
8. Borat
9. Lenny Bruce
10. the Marx brothers
11. earlier Woody Allen
12. George Carlin
13. W. C. Fields (forever)
14. Mae West
15. Cheers (when Diane was on it)
16. Penn and Teller
17. South Park
18. the Office (I prefer the British version although the American version has its moments)
19. Greg Proops
20. Whose Line Is It Anyway? (I know Greg was on that a lot but i love when he does stand-up too so he gets a separate entry)

next: food

British comedy for the win! British TV tends to use more normal looking people, as opposed to models, which I like...and they tend to have better jokes, etc, although I seriously can't go past Scrubs (a very sophisticated for of the very unsophisticated slapstick. It saddens me how much I like to see people get hurt. :( Not normally, of course, but it amuses me greatly in settings like this.)

Thank you! I've loved brit comedy since i was a kid watching Python for the very first time. Never could get into Scrubs though. A friend of mine told me there was an ep where one of the Scrubs guys was going around trying to copy House. I'm glad I did not see that ep.
