No sense in being worried about it. You've done what you can to this point. Now it'll be up to them to explain to you what you're missing, if anything, and exactly what else they may need. You may have everything done already once they see your paperwork.
Not even sure how they're going to see it. It's three years worth of bank statements and it's a phone appointment. And I have a landline. Also, my parents have been giving me $$$$ because SS doesn't give me enough to pay my rent.
They may have to set up an in-person appointment, but they won't know that until after they talk to you. *sigh* the technology that we have at our fingertips today is convenient, but there are times when in-person is the only way to go. I had to go to the actual SS office to get my paperwork straightened out. I learned quickly to arrive at least 45 minutes early just to be in the first group of people. I was in and out relatively quickly. Others would spend hours and hours waiting for their turn, and some wouldn't be seen that day at all, despite having been there in line.
I'm not sure where the office is. It's been moved twice since I was first on SS. I had a nightmare last night that they cut me off and my family made me move to Texas and I never saw L. again.
You might want to phone them (and you'll have to wait on hold FOREVER to speak to a real person) to find out exactly where their physical office is located. You'll probably have to arrange to go into the office and see an agent directly to really get effective results.
I know your parents help you with money, but you're an adult! I'm amazed that you think they could force you to move somewhere you don't want to be. But, everyone's situation is different. I'm sure you have your reasons to think that they would do something like that.
They're going to call me day after tomorrow between 10 and 11. If they need me to go to their office they'll tell me then. I don't think my parents are going to actually do that. Oh, and here's an update. the bank fucked up and one of the statement copies is missing so I have to go back there this morning and get it.
