haha! apparently he's a big family guy fan. I find family guy about as funny as getting hit by a truck.
I prefer south park and Beavis and Butthead.

Well I'm pretty sure he did a voice in it once. I used to like it, but it went really downhill.

I love Hugh, but I think he kind of has Michael Caine Syndrome (very very talented but will be in anything).
I feel that way about the Simpsons. I used to love them but they really deteriorated badly, so much so that I had to quit watching them. They did way too much stuff in the past few years that either wasn't funny or made no sense. or worse, both.

I agree, and I think it has to do with his low self esteem/paranoia. Maybe he thinks he needs to take whatever he can get his hands on for fear he'll never work again if he doesn't. The up side of that, of course, is he can usually raise the game of whatever he's doing because of what he brings to the table.

he has the craft integrity that even if he's in some real piece of crap like the spice girls movie he will STILL be acting his socks off instead of phoning it in.

I know this is a few days old, but if anyone lambasts you for THAT, you can enlist my help to kill them. I like Family Guy but seriously, this is such a miniscule "dissenting opinion" that anyone who has a problem with it needs to be removed from the gene pool.

it was in hughbunnies. apparently he likes family guy and a lot of my fellow Hugh fans started practically having orgasms over it. I don't find family guy at all funny. I prefer south park.

Don't get me wrong, I adore Hugh. I worship him. I totally lust after him.

However, that does not mean that everything he likes I must like as well. And it certainly doesn't mean that if I dislike something Hugh likes that I'm a bad, bad fan.

Yeah, I dont' get it either. Don't know why some people in the House fandom are so damn intolerant of other people's opinions. Although I did notice that the person I mentioned is now suddenly good buds with a person that hates me (again, because I have dared to have an opinion that does not consist of mindless squeeing and bobblheading).

they're not very stereotypical republicans. one of them smokes pot and listens to punk rock and the other one is an atheist who loves science and nature.
hell a couple of my friends even like 13 and I can't fucking STAND her. But I like my friends so I save my 13 bashing for other occasions or warn about in my fic, for example, I participated in the lovely karaokegal's Come As You're Not party for the first time last week and my entry said in the intro posted on her LJ, warning: 13 bashing.

Whenever I "bashed" a person/character I didn't like, I always warned people and put it behind an LJ cut. If people are stupid enough to read something behind a cut and get all offended, then that's their problem.

I'm tired of people in the fandom inflicting their POV, opnions, values, etc. on other people. Live and let live. Don't like, don't read.

I have a lot of LJ friends that have different ships and different opinions from mine. I've never defriended anyone because they liked someone I didn't like or shipped a pairing that I disliked. I have. however, defriended people who are intolerant and arrogant because they think everyone should think and act like they do.
