Got my banana walnut rum cake in the oven. Unfortunately I didn't realize I didn't have enough vanilla extract left so it's not exactly how I want it. Banana and vanilla go really well together and if I had known I had so little left I would have gotten vanilla extract yesterday when I had to go to 5 stores, at least one of them would have had vanilla extract.

I'm sorry! I hate when I think I have an ingredient and then when I need to use it for a recipe I find that I'm low or out when I could have gotten it when I was grocery shopping last.

It is frustrating when you realize you don't have enough of an ingredient when you're already in the middle of the process. Hopefully the cake turned out well anyway!
