I went to my roomie's writer's workshop last night (it's run by a really good friend of mine and another friend is a member) largely out of boredom but I'm really glad I went. it was really interesting and almost everyone there writes very well. I was the only fanfic writer there. I had to be talked into reading part of "Iatroeco-oxyglossophilia" by my roomie but they liked it a lot. Some of the people there were unfamiliar with the entire concept of fanfic so I had to explain what a Mary Sue is, which got some laughs. i definitely thought about MST House fanfics while I was giving that explanation.
