Because the pool didn't open up when they said it was going to I wanted to join the Y. Their website is really screwed up. It wouldn't accept my password even though it fit the perimeters and when I entered my birthdate it thought I was under 18 and wouldn't accept it. (For those reading this who don't know, I am a lot older than 18.) Also because of covid you have to make appointments to go swimming and I wanted to know, reasonably enough, if there is a limit on the number of appointments you can have. That information is not on their website. They seem far more interested in pictures of kids screaming. And no one is answering their phones. I have to be in that neighborhood day after tomorrow anyway because it's near J's house and he invited me over so I think I will just go over there before I go to J's house and ask them in person. In the meantime I'm just sitting here having my Sri Lanka tea.

My Y is finally back to normal hours. I'm trying to work out the schedule so that I can get back to some swimming in late October or November. I'm thinking about three days a week (I was swimming six days a week, a mile each time, before COVID). I just got a bunch of new swim gear a couple of days ago, including a kick board - something I never had to have before because they always had them available. That stopped with COVID. They pulled out all of the "shared" items and also closed the sauna.

They do require reservations and are limiting swimming to a single person per lane (we used to share normally one lane and two people). Their reservation system is pretty cracked, but they seem to be accepting my membership number to get into it. Maybe that might work for you.
