Last night I was watching a rather compelling TV show about an Indian woman chef named Asma Khan. She was talking very enthusiastically about biryani and it suddenly occurred to me I've never had biryani and I happen to adore Indian food. I don't know why I'd never had it. I went out to Solano Ave. earlier today and happened to be near an Indian restaurant I'd been to before around lunchtime so I had some goat biryani for lunch and I loved it. The only snag is goats have these weird little bones and one of them splintered and got caught in my teeth and it hurt so I had to go across the street to Safeway and buy a roll of dental floss but that got it out.

I don't think I've ever heard of Biryani either, so I did a quick Google search. It looks like it would be very flavorful.

I'd heard of it, I just never ate it before, I always ordered something else in Indian restaurants.
