I had a conversation this morning with J that concerned me. His boyfriend has not had his shots yet because he hurt his back and can't get out of bed. There are people in jail who are getting their shots. I told him it might be a good idea if he called the CIL (Berkeley advocacy group for disabled people) to see if he can get a nurse or someone to come over to the house and give him his shots there.

The worst they can do is say 'no', right?

Is he totally immobile? A nurse might come to him, but if he can move enough to get to a car, someone could drive him to one of the drive-through vaccination locations. I know they have those here and suspect they have them in other cities as well.

If he's that sick, he should be at the hospital, not at home. Just saying ...

He shouldn't have been behind the wheel anyway. I was suggesting that a friend could pick him up and take him to a vaccination drive-through site.
