A snuffed candle of a book

They threw another metaphor at me I don't understand so never mind.

I had a cup of caramel vanilla tea this morning then went out to get groceries. I had my House t shirt on and ran into a very nice lady who was also a big Hugh Laurie fan so we got into a great conversation. The only sucky thing was on the way back from the Safeway some asshole apparently thought it would be funny to squirt water all over the benches at the bus stop so I couldn't sit down. Have I mentioned that I have a fucked up leg?

it was. also some guy was taking videos of people wishing happy birthday to his cousin in Barcelona so I was one of the people who participated. I think before covid I would not have done this.

A snuffed candle of a book

I love this!

So if you think about putting a candle out, it's no longer bright or has much use. That's the meaning here.

I would think that would be more like a burned out match because you can re light a candle but maybe I'm being too literal.
