A book where you really wanted to be reading the "shadow" version of the book (as in, there are traces of a different book in the work and you would have much preferred to read that one)


This didn't occur to me till long after the first time I read it but I'd love to see a "Wicked" type take on the Jungle Book where Shere Khan is the hero rather than the baddie.

was it the book or the musical you despise? they're totally different. they don't have the same plot, the characters are different, etc.

I despised the book, and I'm not fond of musicals, so I guess it's both.
