A couple of very weird things happened to me yesterday. I got a phone call and the caller ID said it was from the office of my apt bldg but the number wasn't either of their usual numbers. I picked it up and there was this guy on the phone who sounded really drunk telling me I should call someone named Gabriella. He seemed to think I knew her. I don't know anybody by that name. I had to ask him for the phone number. I called her and apparently she seemed to think I was behind on my rent (I'm NOT!) and she was working for some charity that is supposed to help people with their rent and she had some paperwork with my name on it. I told her honestly that my parents pay my rent and there was no issue about this with them, and she told me the paperwork had been sent in by this guy Lance, whom I've met, who works in the bldg and whom I haven't seen recently but I put this down to no one being in the office because of covid. Gabriella did a three way conference call with Lilly, who is the new bldg manager, and she confirmed that I'm all paid up with my rent. (She also said Lance doesn't work here anymore.)
Then, last night, I got on the elevator. There were three men on it and one got off right before I got on, and this one really creepy guy tried to keep me from getting on, insisting that only two people were supposed to be on the elevator. I said what about the man who had just left and this seemed to piss him off more. He was NOT wearing a mask. If he is so concerned about covid why wasn't he wearing a mask?

I'm very suspicious of weird phone calls. Between Facebook scraping up profiles for people who are not even on Facebook and large databases getting hacked and sold dirt cheap, it's getting easier for scammers to build up targeted attacks and fool people out of their money.

You should meet the guy who owns our building. He's a nice guy, but once in a while "forgets" how much we owe him and I have to remind him, LOL. Thank goodness I always pay with a check!!

I have no faith in unknown phone calls. Most of the time they're junk or phishing scams, the other time they'll try again if it's something legitimate.

How's your physical therapy coming along? You walking any better now?
