Spent all day yesterday at the doctor's. I got an ultrasound and an X ray and apparently I have a deep vein thrombosis, they gave me some pills for it. I just took one, I had to wait till after I ate lunch because you're supposed to take these pills on a full stomach.
My parents sent me some $$$ for Xmas but it hasn't shown up in the mail yet. I'll be happy when I get it but I won't really be able to spend it until this crazy covid crap is all over and who knows when that's gonna be. I used to always spend my Xmas $$$ on books and DVDs and going out to restaurants and shows and things which of course I can't do now. Fuck covid.

no, the stores are closed and the delivery people suck. they are CONSTANTLY dumping packages in the wrong part of the building or not even bothering to bring them into the bldg.

No. Assuming it is in walking distance, and that whatever you are getting is light enough to carry, you can do so. I realize those assumptions may not be valid in your case, but it is a thought. Could also consider, instead of using their delivery person, using Uber, with the understanding with the driver that you are home, and he/she doesn’t get paid until they hand it off... even if “hand it off” means leaving it on the ground 6 feet away from you, while you do the same with the money. (Sounds like a bad movie scene with paying ransom, but still viable scenario.)
