Covid sucks, I'm bored, I wish my friends could come visit me, I even miss stuff that a lot of people wouldn't necessarily think about like salad bars. :(
Of course, it's understandable. I always cook a turkey. It's so easy - turkey really cooks itself. All I have to do it baste it regularly because we like a very brown skin. I'm not that fond of turkey, but once a year I can handle.
there's no way I could eat a whole turkey by myself even over a period of a few days. If I were living with a few other people it'd be an entirely different matter.
Stores will often have sides or just pieces of turkey. Those would be much more do-able for a single person. I remember when I was living alone, I didn't want a full turkey either. But there's something about the Thanksgiving holiday that makes me want turkey and potatoes with gravy and green beans and pie. I could still have that without purchasing a full bird.
Safeway used to sell half turkeys which were good for when you want to make a turkey dinner for a smaller group of people but I think that's still too much for one person.
