I do wear glitter and purples and pinks and don't think I'm "too old". I don't know how old your son is but I'm all for people wearing what they want to wear and not what somebody in some magazine says who's getting paid by the companies to say whatever will make them more money anyway. And I totally agree with you about the last part! (Scented eye makeup sounds like it would cause irritation bigtime.)
