(no subject)

also, day 8

your least fave episode

the show took a general downhill turn at the beginning of season 4 but I'm going to have to go with No Reason--Meaning. they make no fucking sense and House doesn't even seem to particularly mind that the guy who shot him got away. You'd think he'd be up in arms and screaming his head off about it.

Yes, I always wondered about that. Wasn't it a throwaway line in the season opener? "He was never caught." And House is never worried about him coming back?

this is true. (and I smile every time I see that icon....)

Yeah, it makes no sense that they've never even brought the guy up again. Makes me kind of nervous that he'll try to kill House again at the end of the series.

maybe he was driving the garbage truck that hit the bus in House's Head/Wilson's Heart?

I think they wanted to see how much they could push censors.

It would have been a better episode if it was a race to save House's life. Bonus points if it had been a condition that was causing an increase in pain and they had just ignored it because it "had to be connected to House's emotional state".

Huh! That never really bothered me, since House's subconscious seemed to be enjoying his interaction with "Moriarity," and I loved the puzzle aspect of No Reason and some of the humor as well as the illumination of House's relationships with Wilson/F/C/C and Cuddy. Meaning *should* have sent up alarm bells in the way it laid the groundwork for some of the horror to come, especially Cuddy's BS with House, but at the time it seemed to be a plausible investigation of House's reaction to lack of pain, although they even explained the mysteriously regrown muscle that allowed him to JOG!!! (Maybe I was just carried away by the "musk.")

I was totally ogling him during the jogging scenes, I'm not gonna lie about that.
