Jan. 13th, 2022 04:15 pmSomething happened today that I was not expecting. Because I have a new blu ray player I decided to go to Amoeba in Berkeley and buy some blu rays. Telegraph Ave. was DEAD. Almost all the businesses were closed or permanently boarded up. About the only ones that were open were Walgreen's, Annapurna, Moe's, Amoeba and a few cafes and restaurants. I'm assuming this is due to covid. Some places were gone that I thought would have survived an atom bomb going off. It was spooky. There weren't even hardly any of the usual Berkeley crazies around. Surreal.
Amoeba didn't have any blu rays I wanted either. Moe's didn't even have any books I wanted to buy and I usually find about 19 books I want to buy at Moe's.
