Sep. 17th, 2020 02:08 pmhere's a meme I got from tigersinacage and some other people:
A is for Argument: Who is the last person you argued with and what was it about?
Some scammer on the phone yesterday. The usual, lot of background noise, shitty English, asked me how I was about 200 times, could not get it through his head I didn't want to talk to him. Fucking caller ID didn't work either. I googled the number later and it was for an animation studio that I had never heard of that is supposedly based here in Oakland. Since I'm an animation geek I looked up a video of theirs on youtube. It was crap, it managed to be worse than Hanna Barbara.
B is for Breakfast: Do you eat breakfast? What do you usually have?
I'm on a diet so I usually just have half a bagel. I also had eggs this morning.
C is for Car: Do you have one? What kind? If not, how do you usually travel?
no. I usually take public transit
D is for Dinner: What's on the menu tonight?
Fish and vegetables. I eat fish and vegetables a lot.
E is for Excellence: Name one thing you think you're really good at.
This is probably going to sound weird but whenever I watch or read something making fun of something else (MST3K, Stupid Comics, etc.) I always notice something that wasn't commented on. I do this with stuff that is being commented on but not necessarily being made fun of too which is why I was pissed that TV tropes kept editing my stuff out. They won't let me comment there at all anymore now; they said it was because they didn't like the way I indented paragraphs, which I think is very petty of them.
F is for Friends: Tell us something you like about the last friend you spoke to.
This person is nice, smart and has a good sense of humor.
G is for Games: What's the last game you played (computer or board game)?
I don't play video games. I like a lot of board games but I'm not in contact with anybody to play with anymore. Fuck covid.
H is for Home: Where do you consider to be your "hometown"? Is it where you live now?
Oakland. I've been living here since 1992 which is longer than I've lived anywhere else.
I is for Internet: What websites do you look at every day?
Livejournal, Dreamwidth, youtube, Netflix. There are some I look at a lot but not every day, and I used to look at hulu all the time because it has good shows but it keeps turning itself off like every 30 seconds which is driving me batshit.
J is for Job: What did you want to be when you grew up? Are you doing that now?
I wanted to be either a rock star or a mad scientist which I think is funny given my House obsession.
K is for Kitchen: Are you a good cook? What's your go-to dish?
Yes. Not to sound egotistical but I'm a very good cook. I don't have one particular go to dish though.
L is for Learning: Are you studying or learning anything new right now?
Not really
M is for Movies: What's the last one you watched and did you like it?
This Is Spinal Tap. I have the DVD. I watched it this morning. I love that movie, it's hilarious!
N is for Nightmares: Do you have bad dreams? Any recurring themes?
Yes
O is for Orders: What's the last thing you bought online?
Those teas that were supposed to arrive in 3 days and took a month. I'm not in a big hurry to buy anything else online because of this.
P is for Pop Culture: Do you follow the world of celebrity and know what the hottest new music, movies and trends are? As I said to tigersinacage, those are two entirely different things. I am interested in a lot of celebrities but there are some I could not give a flying rat's ass about, to the point that I don't even get why some of them are popular. Also, I don't follow trends, I like what I like, not what somebody tells me I'm supposed to like.
Q is for Quiet: If you're home alone, do you like silence or background noise like music or the TV? I usually don't have the TV on for background noise. Sometimes I have music on (I love music) and sometimes silence, depends on my mood.
R is for Reading: What's your go-to genre? I love lots and lots of different genres of books.
S is for Sweets: What's your favourite dessert or sweet treat? I love them too much, that's why I had to go on a diet. Probably almost anything with chocolate.
T is for Travel: Where did you last take a trip? To Austin to visit my parents 9 months ago.
U is for Useless: Name something you're just really bad at. Holding down jobs. Fucking Asperger's. Yeah, I resent it.
V is for Vision: Do you wear glasses or contact lenses? yes, I've worn glasses since I was a kid, I'm extremely nearsighted and also astigmatic to the point of being legally blind without them. I can see fine with them though.
W is for Weather: What's your perfect day, weather-wise? Sunny and warm, not too hot.
X is for X-Men: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
The ability to understand and speak any language or teleportation. Or time travel.
Y is for Yesteryear: What period of history is most interesting to you? I find most of them super interesting, I like reading or watching period stuff and I love re-enactment groups.
Z is for Zero: What popular activity do you have zero interest in doing?
Having a baby! (I copied tigersinacage's answer because I totally agree with it!)
