The sink backed up again so I just used the plunger. It may be only a quick fix but the emergency maintenance phone number isn't even working plus I found out the lazy dumbasses who run this bldg now intend to quit work every day at 3.

Not sure if you've already tried this but sometimes pouring some vinegar and baking soda down the drain, letting it fizz for a bit, and then pouring boiling water down after it can work to unclog it.
