Still missing Monkey King, I looked up a recipe online for spicy Korean chicken wings because I don't have a Korean cookbook. I went to three different grocery stores looking for gochujang and couldn't find any and got too tired and burned out to keep looking.

I could never find any in a store. I think I bought mine on Amazon. I wonder if it goes bad because it probably is by now. Oops.

Grocery Outlet usually has it, weirdly. And any of the asian grocery stores along Story road, like Lion Market - including the Walmart on Story road, usually has it :D

I don't feel up to going to the Grocery Outlet now but I'll look there next time i want to do this.
Story road is in San Jose. I live in Oakland.

That's a shame! Gochujang is delicious so I'm not surprised it's hard to find.

this morning when i was looking for something else I found gochujang in Trader Joe but it was too late, I had already done the wings last night in a different way but I'll have to remember that next time. If Trader Joe doesn't discontinue the damn gochujang like they discontinued about a zillion other things.

One of the reasons I hate shopping Trader Joe's is they are always changing their products. You can't trust they'll have anything you want the next time you are there.
