My god, have I got some dumbos running my apt bldg. I have apparently been paying the wrong amount of rent for months without them bothering to tell me, plus they thought some rent checks I gave them 5 to 7 months ago never cleared. I called my bank. They DID clear. I spent a long time but I think I got it all straightened out.
Then I get home about 45 minutes ago to find out they're running the goddamned fire alarms all Wednesday and Thursday, NOT today like they originally told me, so I have to be out of here from EIGHT IN THE MORNING TILL FIVE both those days, I don't have anywhere to go, plus I got called up for jury duty and I have to fill out a form online for that which I CAN'T fill out because they want two cell phone numbers and I don't even have one cell phone.

I just typed in my regular phone number and they accepted it even though it's a land line. I just have to call them after 5:00 on 2/23.

I find that if you email the bailiff, they can give you more options on how to serve. They wanted me to use zoom, and I was like, "Zoom ain't gonna happen in my house." and they told me I could come in. It wasn't even an option that was listed anywhere.

I just filled out the online form with my regular phone number and it accepted it so I'm not worried about that. All I have to do now is call them after 5:00 on 2/23. I probably won't have to go to jury duty anyway. Almost every time I get called I wind up not having to go.

I'm so sorry that there are always problems with your landlord. Nobody needs that.

My bldg changed owners during the worst of covid when nobody could go out and these new guys are terrible.

Good grief, how do you lose track of money like that? That must be very frustrating for you.

I'm just glad the landlady seemed to believe me when I told her the guy at my bank told me those checks cleared. Of course I was telling her the truth but who knows what would have happened otherwise?
