I am so sick of this! TV tropes edited out another thing I wrote!!
Night Court--Screwed by the Network
NBC was the number one network in the late 80's (this sort of thing was important back in the days before people watched streaming TV online) and they ran a lot of ads listing their hit shows. They tended to leave Night Court out completely.
